Buffer's study of 7.1 million TikTok posts puts the top slots at Sunday 9 am, Monday 1 pm and Sunday 1 pm, local time. Saturday is the best day overall; Wednesday and Thursday are the weakest. Evenings, 6 to 11 pm, are strong on most days.

Why TikTok is different
Buffer found weekends outperform weekdays on TikTok, the opposite of Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook. Its own theory is a younger audience with less fixed routines. Sprout Social's 2026 data, which spans six networks, puts TikTok's windows on weekday afternoons instead (for example Wednesday 1 to 8 pm), so the two studies disagree: treat both as starting points.
The best and worst days
Buffer ranks Saturday first, then Monday, then Sunday. Wednesday and Thursday are the weakest; if you post midweek, its 10 pm slot is the strongest on both days.
Posting to another state
Buffer says its times apply in your own time zone, so they hold anywhere. If you post from Perth for an east-coast audience, use the converter under the chart: in daylight saving, Sunday 9 am in Sydney is 6 am in Perth.
Find your own best time
TikTok Studio's analytics show when your followers are most active. For a small account, posting consistently matters more than the exact hour: pick two slots from the chart and test them for two weeks.
